Astra’s Extraordinary Shareholders Meeting Brings Strategic Leadership Refresh

Astra International’s Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, marked a significant refresh of the company’s leadership structure. Shareholders approved the appointment of several new commissioners and a director, signalling Astra’s continued effort to strengthen governance and sustain long-term growth across its diverse business portfolio.
Two new faces join the Board of Commissioners: Lincoln Lin Feng Pan and Lee Liang Whye. Both bring extensive regional and international experience in corporate strategy, financial oversight, and cross-border business development. Their backgrounds in managing large-scale enterprises across Asia are expected to enrich Astra’s ability to navigate global market shifts, particularly as the group expands its presence in mobility, financial services, and sustainable industries.
On the executive side, Hsu Hai Yeh has been appointed as a new director. Known for his strong operational and financial expertise across multinational corporations, Hsu is anticipated to support Astra’s ongoing transformation agenda — from digitalisation and supply chain optimisation to innovation in automotive and infrastructure segments.
The meeting also acknowledged the resignation and retirement of long-serving members John Raymond Witt and Chiew Sin Cheok, whose contributions helped guide Astra through periods of rapid industry change. President Director Djony Bunarto Tjondro expressed appreciation for their years of leadership, dedication, and stewardship, noting that their work laid important foundations for Astra’s next chapter.
With its refreshed leadership lineup, Astra is positioning itself for the future — reinforcing a board that blends continuity with new perspectives as the company evolves within Indonesia’s dynamic economic landscape.
